It's that time of year again! The ACL lineup has been announced, and I, for one, am super excited to see Ben Harper, G Love, and Galactic on it again.
Now here's the part where I solicit your music knowledge to help me plan my weekend: Out here in the musically undiverse state of Texas, we haven't heard of many of these bands. Which ones are good? I plan on spending the summer investigating new music, so who should earn a spot on my agenda?

I tried to keep this list down to bands I can fully endorse, there are others on the list where it is a case of "what I have heard has been good/ok/has promise" but I left those off.
Sweet - I knew I could count on you. I'm listening to Kings of Leon right now, and I dig 'em. And that was before I realized that was their song in that one commercial.
I like Kings of Leon; despite the fact that all calendars and most people you speak with insist it is 2006, they cling to thier superior knowledge that it is actually 1972.
