It's not a habit

Only a week into the new year and I've already fallen behind in my blogging. It's been busy at work, as I've taken on two new, nearly-full time responsibilities within the group. Fortunately one of them is only temporary, but it still finds me at work on a Sunday.

I may have explained before the layout of our building, but to remind you, our office space sits on the mezzanine of a factory. Basically it's a building constructed within another, less classy building. Sometimes this creates problems, because frankly the factory wasn't designed for cushiness. The other day it was pouring down rain outside, which led several of the ceiling tiles around my cube to begin buckling and turning this putrid brown color. At approximately 10am, one fell. Onto a guy. Bringing with it about half a gallon of putrid, brown rain water. And the loss of my appetite for lunch.

Apparently we have yet to report this problem to Facilities, because I walked in this afternoon to a putrid, brown smell. Seriously, this is the foulest stench I've smelled in...well, I did go out drinking with my man-friend and his roommates yesterday, so really it's only been about 12 hours, but BEFORE that, it probably would've been days. And I'm starting to get a headache. Do I get workmans' comp for this?

Is anonymous serious? I can't deal with people. Seeing as though I am already crabby, I'll throw that on my list. Is it too much to ask that people demonstrate acts of kindness and refrain from acts of malicious rudeness?? I got cut off on the way to work today. Not silly cut off like arggh...like almost drove off the road cut off. That is where it started; my bad mood. I miss you. Come play in NY please. Yes, we have less open prarie/desert like areas...but we have sky scrapers, and my Yaris, and I think that's just enough. xo
